This is my blog about power tools that were made in Australia. I am interested to learn about their design, manufacture and use. Hopefully I will be able to create an archive of these power tools so this important chapter of Australian manufacturing is not completely lost.
Hi, I'm trying to do some research myself on old power tools, mainly vintage. I recently purchased this model drill. I noticed that it was made in Australia yet, the chuck part was made in sheffield,England. Could someone possibly verify if this is correct or not, and could you also possibly tell me the year these models were produced. cheers
i have potentially just purchased this model drill along with the table saw, table jig saw, rebate planer, rotary saw, press for drill and assortment of stands all with manuals. i would love to know more about lightburn tools. I am considering using these tools but am concerned about it being a good idea
Just recently cleaned out my pop's shed, found a duel speed lightburn drill, it's fully functional just a little dirty. Just wondering what the value would be at a estimate. Thanks, Garth Bartlett
Hi im in nz and bought a model 48444 at a yard sale it has a 1/2 inch jacobs chuck and 3 handles with a spirit level in the rear handle .2 speeds are 650 and 2000 rpm. Its nice.
Hi, again. actually I think this one is the same as mine, not the KBC as previously thought. I guess KBC became Lightburn at some point?
